Would 2 GTX580 graphics cards run BF3 in high specs?

I'm looking to play the upcoming Battlefield 3 for PC in relatively high specs, but I'm a little computer illiterate (console noob), and I don't fully understand all the aspects of graphics cards and specifications. Although I'm aware the nvidia GTX580 is a year old, but I heard it to be quite powerful in SLI configuration (crossfire). Would it work well or just average or not at all?

Thank you.|||2 GTX580s in SLI would provide smooth gameplay on high settings. even a single GTX 580 can run BF3 on high settings.

Goodluck on playing BF3. :)|||Just grab one GTX 580. It's a very high end card as it is. And unless you're playing at 2560x1600, then two aren't worth it. One can handle BF3 maxed out at 1920x1080 just fine. My GTX 470 gets an average of 37-42fps maxed out @ 1920x1080 in BF3. Still a very playable experience. The GTX 580 is considerably faster, so one is enough. Just be sure your power supply is sufficient enough for it. At least a quality 650w-750w psu. For two in SLI, then 850w or higher.|||Yes, it would run it, but two 570's can also crank out the same performance that is visible. You are obviously going to have a higher framerate with the two 580's, but it won't make a difference since you can't physically see the difference. You can only see ~60FPS, and two 570's will get you around 100. two 580s will give you around 160.|||i was playing the beta on a superclocked gtx 460 SE and it was nearly full graphics on 1920x1080 single monitor. the only things are i had AA one notch down and also post processing was medium...im sure if you got even a gtx560 it would be smooth on everything, 1 gtx 580 will surely be enough for all games out there to date
