I've Bought A Ge-force Gtx580 Graphics card and i want to know the precautions on how to handle it and fix it to my cpu without damaging it..|||how would you fix it to your CPU? i think you mean slot it into the motherboard.
the precautions i take are to wear latex gloves and hold it gently by the edges, as you slot it in, gently press the card into the slot making sure your fingers are pushing it from the top. you should hear a click or some noise to alert you that it is in and secure, just give it another couple of gentle pushes either end,|||Nice! They are fairly robust. Just dont touch the contact stirp the bit that looks like little gold teeth as thats the most fragile part! Make sure you 'earth' yourself before opening you unit up too. Just touch somthing metal that is plugged into a wall socket so you do not damage other delicate components.|||Just make sure you don't have static on your hands. Touch a metal part of the case and you'll be fine.
